Rumbidzai is a seasoned, award-winning global corporate strategist with over 17 years of experience in commercial and marketing leadership within the FMCG sector. She joined BAT in 2012, following roles at Colcom Foods and Tsebo.
She has a strong track record in business turnaround strategies, revenue growth, brand management, and market expansion, with impact across 16+ countries in East and Southern Africa, the Indian Ocean Islands, and the Horn of Africa. Rumbi began her career at BAT Zimbabwe in Trade Marketing and has since held regional assignments in South Africa, Mozambique, and Kenya.
Most recently, as Head of Marketing Deployment – Kenya, overseeing East Africa, Southern Africa, the Horn of Africa, and the Indian Ocean Islands, she successfully delivered integrated brand, consumer, and trade campaigns that drove measurable bottom-line growth.
Rumbi holds a Master’s in Business Leadership from UNISA, a BA (Honours) from the University of Zimbabwe, and a Diploma in Marketing Management from IMM. In 2023, she was recognized globally by Involve – The Inclusion People as one of the Top 100 Inclusion & Diversity Role Models, and was named among Zimbabwe’s 40 Most Influential People Under 40 by the Institute of Corporate Directors Zimbabwe.
